As a former employee of Pine Meadows Post Acute for several years, I had the opportunity to see firsthand the dedication, compassion, and hard work that goes into caring for the residents every single day. Working in long-term care is not always easy, but the staff at Pine Meadows consistently showed how much they genuinely cared about the people they served. During my time there, I worked alongside some truly incredible individuals who treated residents with dignity, patience, kindness, and respect. Many of the relationships formed between employees, residents, and their families went far beyond simply doing a job. Residents became like family, and that was one of the things that made Pine Meadows such a meaningful place to work. No healthcare facility is perfect, and there will always be challenging days, but I will always appreciate the experience, relationships, and memories I gained during my years at Pine Meadows. I saw countless employees go above and beyond—not because they were required to, but because they genuinely cared. Having been on the inside as an employee for several years, I can confidently say that Pine Meadows Post Acute holds a special place in my heart. I am grateful for the people I met, the lessons I learned, and the opportunity I had to make a difference in the lives of the residents. I would absolutely recommend Pine Meadows to anyone looking for a facility where compassion and quality care truly matter.

Poor communication. Short staffed. If you are not there, they will leave your loved one in bed. My loved was there 13 days- left with skinned up shin, all over body rash, and needing 2 units of blood. PT/OT/Speech for cognitive and after 4 days of therapy, recommended to be discharged. Repeatedly asked to get him up and out, did not happen unless we were there. Showered only 2 times after several days of asking. Placed filthy pull up in laundry basket. I could go on a d on. Positives- Nurse Joyce and Loy, Activity Dir Paulette, Nurse Aid Chris- cared but also volume of patients/ caretaker ratio overwhelming.

Father was at this facility starting at 3pm on August 1, 2026. I as his POA, signed all documents to admit him for rehab. Bed was not made, former occupant’s orthopedic shoe was underneath bed, and PT strength band still attached to bed. Asked and was noted in my father’s chart that I wanted him out of bed for all meal. Also, asked to have him clean shaven each day. He was in the facility for 12 days. He only had lunch in the dining hall and that is because myself or his sister took him daily. He was shaved twice, the last time because I asked 3 days in a row. Day 3 of stay, I asked repeated for a walker, because he was getting out of bed without assistance. Reason for rehab was due to a fall and he had fractured a bone in his neck. He was in a neck brace and unsteady on his feet. On day 3 during the night he had scraped his shin during the night. He had no recall of how it happened and no staff member knew it happened it till the morning when breakfast was brought to room. Day 3, he started losing control of his bowels and his pull-ups were not helping. They changed him and threw the dirty pull up and shorts in his laundry basket one time, other times took his dirty shorts somewhere and never to be scene again(I did his laundry at my house daily). I called his oncologist and asked for recommendation for his diarrhea. I relayed his instructions to the staff at Pine Meadows and asked for them to call his oncologist because we have had this problem arise over the past few years. I gave them his contact information. They started fibercon instead of the recommendation from his oncologist and also had not called his office at this time. Finally, 24hours later they started giving him immodium as his oncologist suggested. Plus, left message with his oncologist. They continued administering the immodium and fibercon when he was not having loose bowel movements. He is now constipated. Finally on day 4 of his stay, PT, OT, and Speech for swallowing and cognition began. I was present or his sister was present for most of his therapy sessions but we were never given specific training on how to reinforce the therapy after he leaves the facilty even though in their notes it states we were trained as well as the patient( my father). I the staff, the neurologist from the hospital stay asked for us to keep him up and engaged due to neurological issues. If a family member was not in the facility, he was laying in the bed asleep or sitting in his wheelchair in his room asleep. Day 9, dad was confused and was out in the hallway without a walker or wheelchair and stating he needed to go upstairs. Staff member fiu d him and took him back to his room. There is no upstairs in the building. Yet, facility stated he had no confusion during stay. They started labs on dad this day as well, but I was not informed. After, someone from the facility called me at home that night after I had left and read his numbers to me. I messaged his oncologist and the next morning asked the facility to once again report these labs to his oncologist. They did not. I called oncologist and they asked for report to be faxed to them. They never were. I ended up checking him out fir a few hours to have lab work done at oncologist unit in the hospital. He is now getting 2 units of blood. I noticed also on this day a rash had appeared on his thighs. Nurse took picture and sent it to higher ups. They said since it was not raised probably nothing to worry about. Fast forward 2 days later, rash spread all over his body, they ask me if he has had a TB test. I said since I have been in charge of his medical records the past 4 years, no. Then they tell me, oh yes we did a TB test on the 4th, once again, I was not made aware. On day 10, meeting accord, they said he is doing great and will be dismissed in 2 days. I am dad’s POA and I had signed week earlier for all printed records of his therapy. Reminded them of that. I also signed for all records from his stay. On day of discharge it was stated dad had to sign for them and they would be mailed.

Bought a forearm upright Walker for my Uncle my Dad tried to take it in today and they told him that he could not have it. I’m really confused why not? He’s been complaining about getting therapy for months now. Even if the insurance refuse to pay for it. I don’t see why the nursing home can’t get him out of his bed and walk him down the aisle a couple times a day. The purpose of the Walker was so he can be mobile and work on his leg strength which has brakes for safety and a seat . Also at one point they took his wheelchair away from him and stuck it out in the hallway.

Top notch staff and facility

After researching and visiting many of the nursing homes in town, we felt lucky to get my Dad into the bright space of Pine Meadows. While being away from home was difficult for him, my Mom was able to visit every day to enjoy the social activities Paulette put together, and he made some wonderful friends. His first day coming to the center, Jaime came to ask his favorite foods so the dining team could keep him happy and help him gain back lost weight. He worked very hard with Michelle, Chris, Mindy, Christy and everyone in the rehab team, making great strides under their care, and he often said how proud he felt after walking or doing his workout on the bike. To Dad’s nurses Lloy, Ashley, and many others… thank you for being caring, watchful, skilled, and staying positive. My Dad needed that so much, and we feel so lucky he had you!! To Kait, Paige, Julie and everyone in the office who made a very difficult & stressful time so much easier and brighter for me, my Mom & sister while managing the seemingly endless bureaucracy of dad’s illness, you are Rockstars and we are deeply grateful for your dedication and support. My family wants to send a big thank you to the whole team there. Truly, everyone that we worked with at Pine Meadows are so wonderful as people and professionals – I would recommend Pine Meadows without hesitation and can only hope that should my Mom ever need care, we can get her in here.

The place is good but kait and paige make it so much better. They both go above and beyond to help with any and all challenges ive had here. Christy and the therapy group are great too. They all make me feel like best friends. Especially kait and paige.

Theirs and nurses i wouldn’t wish this place on my worst enemies. The only positive uld be theropy and their staff. You can hit call lightand it coulð be up to an hour before you got

Place smells bad of pee The nurses will leave someone covered in pee for hours The hallways are strong enough to make you gag If you need help hit your button an hour before you know you need help or itll never come Nurses are incredibly rude at times They ignore call lights one hallway had 4 lights on for over 30 minutes with no nurses or aids If aids are busy nurses wont help other then Stephanie. They are rude and nasty if you are able to talk and are responsive Food is miserable and they water down your drinks to make them last longer. They dont give showers other then wiping you down with disposable wash cloths Hair washing isn’t a thing make sure to bring dry shampoo They do have a barber with the newest hair styles from the 1950s Therapy is incredible they are very attentive. Occupational, speech and physical therapy are the best we’ve seen from several rehab centers over the years. They are the only reason to stay here. One of the nurses was helping my mom then she hurt my mom and my mom asked her to do it a different way then the nurse said “I just cant do this” and stormed out They left her on the bed pan for 30 minutes which can develop bed sores I sat with her for over an hour today waiting on her nurse to help her get in bed and on the bed pan apparently her nurse went on her lunch break after saying ” ill be right in” pressed button around 1:05 pm she just came in at 2:14 She got in here on august 12th and she just got her first bath today on August 29th Shes been on the 6 o’clock wake up for therapy and they havent been doing it because they forget or “forgot to put her on the morning list” She asked to talk to a manager and when she did she explained everything the manager said she was gonna talk to the staff about it. Now the nurses are treating her harshly and ignoring her more. Nurse came in here after pushing button and she sighed and she was wearing ear buds and talking on the phone the whole time her name was LaKeena this was on Friday aug 29th at night time I urge you please do not let your loved ones come live or stay in this place Good aids ( Rainy, Alyssa, Summer, Alona) (stephanie is best nurse there) They never taught her how to pivot or get in a car Once it was time to leave they never tried showing her how to do stuff she will need to do at home Dryer put burn holes in clothes and bed sheets Several things disappeared from her room over her stay. I got her a nice lotion it got taken, 3 pairs of glasses disappeared, a bra, and 2 pairs of pj’s. After insurance stopped paying they told her it would be $450 a day.

Mom had a great short term rehab stay at Pine Meadows. Therapy gave it their all to make sure she was ready to go to her new assisted living apartment. Everyone was so kind. Her private room made it more appealing to give rehab a go to get her strength back after a hospital stay. Thanks Pine Meadows!!!

I can’t sing enough accolades for what everyone at Pine Meadows Post Acute rehab has done for me with their utmost care and compassion at every single turn. I am recovering from my right hip replacement surgery, of which in itself,is a monumental task, faster than I could ever expect. This team of professionals are without a doubt, worth the Nobel Peace Prize. I have never encountered a more cohesive and familial team of people who go way beyond just simply owning the problems associated with my rehab and honest to goodness love. I am forever in their debt of gratitude and so very fortunate that I selected them after my difficult surgery and unnecessarily unfortunate experience at the hospital, which I need not mention their name. If I could give negative stars I would!!!! The absolute nastiest and most unprofessional place I have ever walked in to. An elderly resident had bruises and pressure sores ALL OVER HIS BODY. Not to mention when I walked in he was NAKED and hadn’t been changed in what looked like days. They treat people like animals. PLEASE do not ever waste your money and time on this place. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU.

Under staffed, the place looks old and dingy, seems maintenance cares more about working on there jeep than the facility, rotten trees in back, the whole place looks like something from 60s
